LEGO Batman Movie Two-Face Voiced By Billy Dee Williams

It is not everyday that I get to report on movie casting news that has relevance on the LEGO world but The LEGO Batman Movie has just announced that Billy Dee Williams will voice the LEGO version of the Bat villain, Two-Face (a.k.a Harvey Dent)!

As a huge fan of Batman and LEGO, this is a great casting choice as Billy Dee Williams played the first theatrical incarnation of Harvey Dent in the 1989 Batman movie by Tim Burton (which a lot of our first ever Batmobiles MOCs were based on).

However, he never did get to play the role of Two-Face as the character was not written into the subsequent Tim Burton sequel and they re-casted the role for Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever but now he will finally get to do so.

When asked about whether Billy Dee Williams will be voicing the character of Two-Face, the director Chris McKay has this to say:

He will join the ranks of the other celebrities who have 2 official LEGO minifigures to their names like Harrison Ford (Han Solo, Indiana Jones) and Cate Blanchett (Irina Spalko from Indiana Jones, Galadriel from The Hobbit).

The movie will have a global release on February 10th 2017 and the LEGO Batman Movie Minifigure series will be available on January 1st.
