With just a couple of weeks away from the grand opening of Legoland Dubai, they have unveiled The World’s Tallest LEGO Burj Khalifa!
Standing at a towering 17 meters, it actually holds the record for the tallest LEGO building replica. There was a structure that was built last year in Milan which stood at 35 meters tall but it was a straight tower of bricks and not technically a building.
This massive structure consists of 439,000 bricks to complete and weights a whopping 1,000 kilos!
It took the Legoland building team a total of 5,000 man hours to complete this record smashing structure.
The LEGO Burj Khalifa is also decked out with LED lights and will even include a recreation of the famous fountain show from the actual building itself.
Legoland Dubai will feature over 40 interactive rides and attractions and 15,000 LEGO models totalling over 60 million bricks.
This will be the the 7th Legoland to open in the world with Legoland Japan and Legoland Korea to join the ranks next year.
I would totally love to visit Legoland Dubai as this miniland houses some of the largest LEGO models ever built! It opens its doors to the public on October 31st so if anyone is in Dubai, do check it out!
Other miniland highlights include the LEGO Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the LEGO Taj Mahal.
