HKLUG LEGO Book 2 砌出童年時 (Review)

The postman just dropped off the HKLUG LEGO Book 2 砌出童年時 in the mail for me and I cannot wait to check it out!

This is actually the second book to be produced by the HKLUG (Hong Kong LEGO User Group) which features LEGO MOCs (My Own Creations) childhood memories as the running theme this time.

The book is chock full of LEGO goodness with some of their most famous builds that you’ve definitely have seen featured on various websites (including this one).

Like its’ predecessor, it also expands on the builds by explaining certain building techniques as well as why they chose certain elements over the other.

On top of that, they also pepper the book with instructions as to how to make some of these wonderful models like the Disney Castle and push cart stall just to name a few.

I would definitely recommend this book to any aspiring LEGO builder and even though the book is only available in Chinese, it is still quite easy to understand as the photos communicate quite clearly.

This book can be found on Superbookcity which is an online book store based in Hong Kong and it retails for HK$148 which translates to be about SGD$30/USD$21 before shipping.

There are some Singapore book retailers that carry this book like Popular Book Store and Kinokuniya but do check with them for availability as they sell out pretty fast.
