LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) Official Images!
I shared the first image of the LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) a couple of days ago when LEGO published their LEGO Brand Store Calendar for August 2021 and now they have released the box art for the set.
As you already know, this will be the August 2021 gift with purchase when you spend a minimum of USD$200 on any LEGO purchase.
It is a lovely model but I feel that the redemption price is quite steep for a 330pc gift with purchase. Just for comparison, the LEGO Star Wars Death Star Battle II (40407) was redeemable with just a USD$75 minimum spend.
Granted that the Death Star Battle II had only 233pcs, I still cannot wrap my head around the redemption price of the sailboat clocking in at more than twice that amount.
Hopefully LEGO will release this as a set that can be purchased off the shelf in the future. It is such a lovely set and I would love to get one for the collection.
There is still no concrete word on when or how this will arrive in Asia but it should be available in some shape or form. Watch this space!
