LEGO Chinese Kumquat Instructions

The Lunar New Year is fast approaching and we are all getting ready to celebrate the new year with our MOCs.

I cobbled together a set of instructions for the LEGO Chinese Kumquat last year and I thought I would share it again as some have requested it.

The kumquat plant is a symbol of good luck and prosperity for most Chinese and you will most likely encounter the actual plant in front of the entrances to Asian homes.

I’ve included a parts list for easier reference and Bricklink searches:

• 4733 – 1×1 Brick with Studs on all sides – Black (x4)
• 33291 – 1 x 1 Plate Round with Flower Edge – Green/Bright Green (x54)
• 4073 – 1×1 Round Plate – Orange (x54)
• 3741 – Flower Stem – Green (x16)
• 19119 – Plant Flower Stem with Bar and 6 Stems – Green (x1)
• 4424 – Container, Barrel Half Large – Reddish Brown (x1)
• 3941 – Brick, Round 2 x 2 with Axle Hole – Black (x1)
• 4073 – 1×1 Round Plate – Black (x2)
• 87580 – Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Groove and 1 Stud in Center (Jumper) – Black (x1)

I built it with 4 rows of flowers but you can add more levels if you want for your kumquat plant. Feel free to modify or adapt this to your liking. =)
