LEGO DC Superheroes Summer 2020 Preview
We had a peek at the LEGO Marvel Superheroes yesterday and I’ve managed to compile some of the high-res images for the LEGO DC Superheroes Summer 20202 sets thanks to an online toy store in the Netherlands.
As some of you have already encountered the LEGO WW84 Wonder Woman Vs Cheetah (16157) set in some of the retail outlets, there are also a handful of LEGO Batman sets that will also debut in June.
Batman: Mobile Bat-Base (76160) – 743 pcs / €89.99
Minifigures: Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing, Mr. Freeze, Bronze Tiger and Man-Bat
Batman: Jokers Trike Chase (76159) – 440 pcs / €49.99
Minifigures: Batman, Robin, Harley Quinn and Joker
Batman: Penguin Pursuit 4+ (76158) – 54 pcs / €9.99

Wonder Woman vs Cheetah (76157) – 371 pcs / €39.99

I’m still on the fence with the additional LEGO Batman sets. While the Batman: Mobile Bat-Base (76160) set comes equipped with some cool play features, the rest feel like updates to existing sets.
These will hit the shelves on June 1st. I’m still waiting for them to release the Batwing from the first LEGO Movie. That is a set I would buy in a heartbeat.

The Mobile Bat Base designer must have been inspired by ‘The Highwayman’ a short lived 80s series by Glen A Larson
I designed this. No. Sorry, I’d never heard of The Highwayman until now, but I have to say from what I see on You-tube I would have loved that show!
I’ve been building this style of nested vehicles since I was a kid, I think it was a fascination with the space buggy in the back of the Galaxy Explorer, the anime Battle of the Planets and the vehicles in the puppet show Thunderbirds that created my love of this sort of thing.
Thanks for the insight Mark! The mobile base reminds me of the LEGO Batman Movie Ultimate Batmobile. Any change we’ll see a LEGO Movie Batwing in the future? =)
