LEGO Muppet Minifigures 71033 Feel Guide!

Some of the retailers in the United States have started selling the LEGO The Muppets Collectible Minifigure Series (71033) so I figured that I would do a quick feel guide for those already on the hunt.

While the moulded heads are all unique, it might be a tad hard to describe each one as they do share some similar features so I’ll be focusing on the accessories that accompany them.

Rowlf The Dog – 7pcs

He is the only one with a minifigure hairpiece so feel for that. There is also his musical sheet which is actually the front cover of the new book element. It should feel like a tile with a ridge along one side.

He and the Swedish Chef are the only characters with a minifigure headpiece. Rowlf also comes with a 1×2 T-Shape arch element.

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew – 4pcs

His unique accessory is the Erlenmeyer flask which should feel conical in the packet. His moulded head should feel round and smooth, like a grape.

He also has medium length legs so if you can confirm him with that.

Beaker – 5pcs

The walkie-talkie accessory is unique to him so feel for the long antenna. He also comes with a 1×2 tile that attaches to the front of the walkie- talkie. His moulded head should feel long and cylindrical.

Gonzo – 4pcs

The chicken figure will feel like a round brick with two nubs on either end. His moulded head is quite identifiable by his hooked nose so feel for that. He also has medium length legs.

Kermit The Frog – 5pcs

The banjo accessory makes its debut here and should feel like a 2×2 round tile with a bar attached to it. Kermit also comes with a 1×2 macaroni printed rainbow tile.

Miss Piggy – 4pcs

The only identifiable accessory is her 2×3 printed tile. Her moulded head is the only character that has two pointy ears sticking out so feel for that to confirm.

Fozzie Bear – 8pcs

His unique accessory is the banana element which should feel like a curved tube with tapered ends. He also has a brick-built microphone stand which consists of an easily identifiable 4L bar, 2×2 inverted dish, a clip and the microphone.

Animal – 13pcs (??)

Animal is the only one with drumsticks which are actually the wands from LEGO Harry Potter. He also has a brick built drum set that consists of a 2×2 round brick, 2×2 round tile, 2×2 dish and a 2×2 round plate and a 3L bar.

Waldorf – 6pcs

He is the only character with a 2×2 printed tile but Miss Piggy has a 2×3 tile so take your time to feel for the correct element. His character also comes with a tea cup and saucer element. He too has medium length legs.

Statler – 6pcs

The laptop is actually the current book element which comes in three parts. The book cover, the 1×2 tile and the base of the book. Look the back cover which should feel like a flat tile with raised edges.

The Swedish Chef – 7pcs

His moulded head is the most identifiable with his toque blanche. If you need further confirmation, feel for the two whisk cooking accessory as well as the minifigure headpiece and leaf element for the talking apple.

Janice – 4pcs

Her unique accessory is her bass guitar which should feel flat on one end with a long stem protruding at the other. Not to be confused for Kermits banjo so watch out for that.

I seriously love all these figures as I grew up watching the Muppet Show and this is the right dose of nostalgia for me. The price point it not too high (SGD$6.50 per packet) and there a lot of characters to choose from.

I did feel that the chicken animal accessory should have gone to the Swedish Chef and that Gonzo should have got a saxaphone element instead.

Either way, I can’t wait to get these and hopefully we will get a series two soon!

These will be a great addtiion, to the already amazing, Minifigures from Lego.

Give Camilla the chicken to the swedish chef?!?! Her and Gonzo are such a beautiful couple!

  3. Zach says:

Well the chicken is Camila so it makes sense to go with Gonzo. Although another chicken could go a chef. Gonzo never played the saxophone but more of the horn at the end of the Muppet show theme. Although he would work better in a purple tux and come with the horn, much like his “The Muppet Show” days. The Chili pepper shirt he is wearing here is more the mid 90’s “Muppets Tonight” show. I can only hope for a series 2 of these would be great to finish off the Electric Mayhem band, with Dr. teeth, Floyd, Zoot, and lips as well as Scooter, Sam the Eagle, Rizzo, Pepe etc. Maybe variations of other characters like Kermit in a tux or trenchcoat, a pigs in space Miss Piggy, and stunt or purple tux gonzo etc.
