AIDA Opens First Official LEGO Store On A Cruise Ship!

First Official LEGO Store On A Cruise Ship

LEGO has always ventured into new markets and they have just teamed up with AIDA cruises to open the first ever LEGO Store on a cruise liner.

The store resides on the AIDA Prima which is the flagship of AIDA Cruises that can ferry a capacity of 3,300 passengers and 900 crew members which is quite a sizeable captive audience when at sea.

The store’s footprint is 75 m² and will be stocked with the current range of products. If anyone is interested in checking LEGO’s only floating retail store, the AIDA Prima is scheduled to depart Kiel, Germany every Saturday for a seven day cruise till the 23rd of October that takes her into the Baltic Sea then to Copenhagen, Visby on the Island of Gotlan and finally STockholm.

After her last trip, She will then be travelling to various cities in various major cities in Western Europe from Hamburg till April 2022.

I honestly don’t know why it took this long for LEGO to plonk an official LEGO store on a cruise liner as I’ve mentioned earlier, it is a captive customer base with pretty much nowhere else to go for the duration of their stay.

I wouldn’t be surprised if more LEGO stores started popping up on cruise liners like the Royal Caribbean Group or Star Cruises.
