LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler: Duel with Scarecrow 76239 Revealed!

This week is LEGO Batman announcement week as LEGO’s online portal revealed another LEGO Batman Batmobile Tumbler, albeit a minifigure sized one this time.

The LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler: Duel with Scarecrow (76239) is essentially a re-release of The Tumbler: Joker’s Ice Cream Surprise (7888) back in 2008. 

The set features a much more screen accurate LEGO Tumbler with the shaping of the vehicle compared to its predecessor. Some of the design choices look very similar to a LEGO Designer’s Woon Tze‘s previous Batmobile MOCs.

It also comes with two minifigures: Batman and Scarecrow with an inter-chageable head for Batman when he is in “scary-Batman” mode.

 

After yesterday’s reveal of the LEGO Batmobile Tumbler (76240) (as well as it’s hefty pricetag), I’m actually liking this version a little bit more especially since it’s recommended retail price is an affordable € 39.99

It seems to be the trend now for LEGO to release minifigure sized versions of their “Ultimate Collector’s Edition” type LEGO Batman vehicles. They did it with the 1989 Batmobile so maybe we might see a 1989 Batwing in the future?
