Take A Walk On The Wild Side With The LEGO Safari

Earlier in February, LEGO Certified Professional for Hong Kong, Andy Hung. unveiled an almost life-sized LEGO Ox to commemorate the Lunar New Year.

He has since expanded his repertoire to include some more life-sized animals like a Lion, Zebra, Giraffe, Parrot and Flamingo in his latest showcase.

The display is part of a mall installation that kind of recreates a “safari” experience for the kids with different stations along a path that is decorated with Andy’s LEGO sculptures.

This installation took approximately 800,000 bricks to construct which includes a 3 meter tall giraffe that  kind of reminds of the giraffe that greets you at the LEGOLAND Discovery centers around the world.

There is also a diorama that features the rolling landscape of an East African prairie. It is decked out with interactive elements like lights and sound.

The exhibition is located in the V Walk mall along 28 Sham Mong Road and it will be on till June 27th (Sunday) so if you’re in Hong Kong and want to check out some really cool LEGO builds, do drop by!
