It has been a while since our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man got a large scale D2C to call his own.
I believe the last one that was solely set in the Spider-verse would have to be LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle (76057).
The Daily Bugle set is rumoured to have a recommended retail price of USD$299.99 which makes it the second most expensive LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set to date.
Just a bit of perspective, the LEGO SHIELD Heli-Carrier (76042) debuted with a price tag of USD$349.99 which is just $50 more than the rumoured Bugle so it should be pretty large.
We did get the LEGO Spider-Man: Daily Bugle Showdown (76005) set back in 2013 but it was just a facade build.
From what has been posted so far, it will be based on the comics rendition of the fictional New York City tabloid newspaper instead of what we have seen in the movies so far.
I’m sure it will be packed to the brim with minifigures and it has been reported that there would be at least a Venom minifigure somewhere in the line up.
The set is rumoured to be coming out in May as part of the LEGO summer rollout.
