Singapore’s Newest LEGO Certified Store Opens This Week!

It has been a solid three years since the last LEGO Certified Store (LCS) opened in Singapore at Ion Orchard shopping mall.

At that point in time, Singapore had a total of ten LEGO Certified Stores in the country which allowed us to capture the crown of the most number of LCS store per capita around the world.

This October will see the next LEGO Certified Store clip it’s ceremonial ribbons to be the 11th store to open on our sunny shores and it will maintain the ten stores in operation as one has closed temporarily.

The new LEGO Certified Store in Tampines mall is located on the third floor and a couple of units down from Toys ‘R’ Us.

It will be managed by The Brick Shop and it will feature a Star Wars themed LEGO Art mosaic / mural along with the LEGO Digibox which allows you to preview any LEGO set in the store through augmented reality.

This would be the second store in Singapore to have such a feature. It is actually quite fun to play around with as it previews what is in the box with the help of some nifty 3D animation.

The store would also sport the usual Pick-A-Brick wall and Build-A-Minifigure stations but due to the Covid-19 restrictions, they would most likely not be open to the public for the time being. You would be able to still purchase the Build-A-Minifigure packs but they will be pre-packed.

This is actually quite significant as with any new LEGO Certified Store opening comes with a slew of promotions and a chance to get the exclusive LEGO Store (40145) set which is only available when a new store opens!

You will be able to redeem this exclusive set when you spend SGD$120 on any LEGO products along with a couple of other offers.

I checked and no, these promotions are not stackable so you will have to pick one.

The LEGO Certified Store at Tampines Mall will open its doors on the 23rd of October (Friday) after the opening ceremony which is supposed to conclude at 11:30am.
