LEGO House AFOL to LEGO Designer Event Cancelled!

There was a fan event to be held this Friday, March 13th 2020, at the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark where you will get to meet some of the LEGO fans who eventually became LEGO designers.

It is unfortunate that I have to report that the event is cancelled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and will be moved to another date some time in 2021.

The event was a chance to meet Senior LEGO Designers Marcos Bessa (Ghostbusters HQ), Mark Stafford (Jurassic Park: T-Rex Rampage) and Justin Ramsden (Hogwarts Castle) who first started out as AFOLs.

I managed to catch up with Marcos while he was in Singapore to promote the LEGO BrickHeadz line. The interview is available of Marcos Bessa is available here.

I also conducted a video interview with Mark Stafford while he was in Singapore for the launch of the LEGO Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage (75936) which you can watch below.

The decision was not taken light hearted but was necessary due to the Corona Virus situation and the to this connected internal LEGO Group guidelines.

We will postpone this fan evening to 2021.
