LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (75252) Designer Video!

The LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s Series Imperial Star Destroyer (75252) was just announced yesterday and we now have the designer video where Senior LEGO Designer Henrik Anderson takes us on a behind the scenes look with the making of Darth Vader’s LEGO Star Destroyer.

There is actually a lot packed into the video with Henrik touching upon some of the easter eggs like the smallest LEGO TIE-fighter ever created that can be found in the hanger bay.

The LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (75252) is based off the actual studio scale model so it is a lot more ‘film accurate’ than its predecessor.

As you can see, Henrik did away with the magnets and switched it to a technic frame which I would expect to be a lot more sturdier.
