It is almost time for the next LEGO Star Wars “Ultimate Collector’s Series” announcement and interwebs are rife with rumours of the Imperial Star Destroyer (ISD) reissue.
I’ve caught wind of this rumour early this year and now there are reports that we will indeed be getting an update to the iconic LEGO Star Wars UCS ISD which made it’s debut way back in 2002.
Here are some of the set details that have been floating around:
That is a lot of Euros for that amount of pieces. The rumoured recommended retail price translates to SGD$1075 which is just SGD$224 shy of the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192).
This would work out to be approximately 22¢ per piece which is a little on the high side but having said that, the LEGO Star Wars UCS ISD is due for an update as the previous iteration could benefit from the seventeen year repertoire of new elements.
I’m guessing that there will be internal play features like the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) as there is a lot of space to play around the ISD.
If it is anywhere close to Onecase’s LEGO Monarch Star Destroyer, I’ll definitely be there in line to buy on day one.
