LEGOLAND Comes Back To The LEGO Family!

Kirkbi Invest which is the investment arm of the LEGO Group has made a £4.8bn bid for Merlin Entertainment which controls all the LEGOLANDs and LEGOLAND Discovery Centres around the world.

A long time ago, the LEGO Group felt that their LEGOLAND park would be better managed under the stewardship of a company that actually had experience running a theme park.

So they let Merlin Entertainment manage that part of their brand and we got to enjoy LEGOLAND parks around the world.

And by acquiring Merlin Entertainment, Kirkbi Investment also pockets all the other attractions in their portfolio like Madame Tussauds, Sealife, the London Eye, Alton Towers and Chessington Adventures amongst others

Hopefully this will mean that we will see a more unified level of quality across the LEGOLAND parks and the LEGOLAND Discovery Centres around the world.
