One of the more sought after baseplate colours for LEGO City and Pirate diorama builders is making a comeback in 2018!
The LEGO blue baseplate (3811) was retired some time in 2015 (I could remember it wrong), much to the disappointment of a lot of moccers out there.
Come January 2018, the LEGO Blue 32 x 32 Baseplate (10714) will be back into circulation along with the other colours like Tan, Green and Grey (48×48).
The secondary market for the blue baseplates have been exorbitant with prices reaching USD$85 just for one. I’m pretty confident that the prices for these will drop really soon once the new Blue Baseplate hits the shelves.
I’m pretty happy that LEGO decided to pull this baseplate out of retirement as it is a colour that diorama builders tend to use a lot. The baseplate should retail at the same price as the others at SGD$14.90 before discount.
