Largest LEGO® Wind Turbine to be Unveiled In Liverpool

Largest LEGO® Wind Turbine

The LEGO Group has been pursuing the issue of environmental responsibility which was evident in their bid to find sustainable materials and renewable sources of energy for the production of their products.

The goal is to solely use sustainable materials by the year 2030.

LEGO Certified Professionals Duncan Titmarsh (UK), Georg Schmitt (FR) and Balázs Dóczy (HU) along with a host of LEGO builders, will be unveiling the largest LEGO® Wind Turbine to ever be built out of LEGO bricks at the One Shopping Centre in Liverpool.

This marks The LEGO Group’s continuing mission to completely cover its own energy needs from renewable sources by 2020.

The event will also include a free “make & take” activity which I believe you get to build a mini-wind turbine. I’ve included the instructions below:

So, if you are in Liverpool on the 17th of May, do hop on by and check out the LEGO Wind Turbine along with their entry into the Guinness Book of World Records.

In the meantime, you can check out the official website with more details on the other activities at the event.

Join us in Liverpool One Shopping Centre for the unveiling of our Guinness World Records attempt at 9.00 am on Paradise Street and a free Make & Take event at 3.00 pm – 8.00 pm at the LEGO® Store on Wednesday, May 17th 2017.
