Brickfinder’s LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 17 Feel Guide
The LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 17 (71018) is just three week away from launch and here is our feel guide for the upcoming series.
This guide is to help those who have difficulty identifying the characters from within the packets and want to complete their sets. If you come across extras or duplicates, do share them with your fellow AFOLs who might just be searching for that very character.
Each packet is priced at SGD$6.50 and they will be on sale on May 1st.
All the information is inside the graphic but I’ve also listed them out here for those who prefer it in text form:
- Professional Surfer – The surf board is the identifying factor for this minifigure. It should feel like a piece of long, flat piece of hard plastic.
- Strongman – Look for the dumbbell accessory. It should feel like a bar with two round balls at either ends. Alternatively, you can also feel for the mustache piece.
- Gourmet Chef – The pie should feel like a thicker 2×2 tile in the packet. The egg beater should feel like a larger baton and the chef’s hat will feel like a shape of a mushroom.
- Corn Cob Guy – His Corn Cob suit should be easy to identify. It should feel like the Hot Dog Suit Guy from Series 13 but with ridges along the side of the body.
- Veterinarian – Feel for the bunny accessory, paying attention to the ears. The Connoisseur has a bulldog accessory so be careful not to mix them up. Her hair piece is also unique.
- Hot Dog Man – The tray is the easiest to look for. It should feel like a flat tile. The hot dog and the drink should confirm it. He is the only one who has a soda jerk hat.
- Fairy Girl – The wings should be easy to identify as it is hard moulded plastic. The 3-prong flower stem should confirm that it is her, along with the flower petals.
- Roman Gladiator – The trident will the be the quickest identifier. It should feel like a long bar with three pointy bits at the end. His hairpiece should feel a bit ‘bumpy’ to the touch.
- Connoisseur – The Baguette is the key item to look for. Look for the bulldog accessory but be careful as the Veterinarian also has a pet bunny the same size.
- Elf Girl – Her sword and shield are instant giveaways. Her hairpiece is also unique with the long tresses as one moulded piece.
- Yuppie – Track down the walkie talkie accessory. There is also a 1×1 tile and a 1×1 cheese slope that make up the handphone which will confirm the character.
- Rocket Boy – His costume should feel cylindrical with a round ball at one end. The flag should feel flat with the hooks at the side. Do not confuse Rocket boy’s 3L bar with the Battle Dwarf’s.
- Classic Spaceman – The two unique pieces are the helmet and the pistol. The helmet should feel smooth save for the center knob. The pistol should feel oblong with a tapered end.
- Dance Instructor – Her hairpiece should feel big and bumpy. The water bottle is made up of a 1×1 round brick so feel for that. The water bottle ‘nozzle’ is a 1×1 round tile with center shaft.
- Battle Dwarf – The Hammer is what you should look for. The axe is made up of the blade piece and a 3L bar. Feel for the bar to confirm. The mohawk and beard should help too.
- Mystery Minifigure – Long rumoured to be a “Highway Man” (not the traffic cop), He is wearing a tricorn hat which will feel triangular inside the packet. There is a pistol accessory which you can use to confirm that it is him.
Hopefully this helps those that are a trying to find that last few minifigures to complete their set. Remember, find what you need and share the rest. Who knows, you might just make a new friend or two.
Good hunting everyone!
