The LEGO House in Billund has been in development for a while now and just today, they launched the The LEGO House Website which gives us an in-depth look at what is in store for those who visit. We actually got a preview of this last year during a closed door conference but now we are finally able to share the news!

The premises, which opens in the Fall, will feature multiple themed areas in which the public can explore.

There are four “experience zones” which are colour coded Red, Green, Blue and Yellow. They each represent a different aspect of the LEGO experience.

The Red Zone allows you to expand your creativity through LEGO with huge play areas for your imaginations to run wild.

The Green Zone focuses on the social aspect of LEGO which teaches you how to interact with those around you.

The Yellow Zone teaches us how to use “play” to understand, express and regulate one’s emotions.

The Blue Zone shows us how logic and our cognitive competences help solve every day problems.

The Masterpiece Gallery serves as a showcase for the LEGO brick as an art medium. I honestly cannot wait to check out this section.

The History Collection is essentially LEGO’s secret vault made available for the public to view sets from long ago through digital means.

I really do hope to make it down for the opening once the dates are firmed up. This essentially will serve as the mecca for LEGO fans around the world and I cannot wait to check it out!

There is also a contest that they are running for 4 VIP tickets to the grand opening of the LEGO House which I highly recommend that you sign up for here.
