Legoland Malaysia Pick-A-Brick Report Q1 2017

Legoland Malaysia Pick-A-Brick Report Q1 2017

I recently made a trip in to Legoland Malaysia to purchase some LEGO elements for myself.

As most of us already know, every Legoland around the world has a Brick Shop with a Pick-A-Brick (PAB) section located inside. In Legoland Malaysia, the Brick Shop is on the left side just after you enter the park.

The PAB in Legoland Malaysia is divided into sections that is located in the middle and near the back of the shop.

Last year, they used to display the elements available on the side for each section. They have since stopped providing that service so I thought it will be a nice idea to continue that style of displaying the elements available for easy reference for everyone.

The elements are calculated and charged by a weight of RM43.00 for every 100grams and you are free to mix and match whichever elements you would like to purchase.

You will need to request for a tub from the cashier to place your elements so that it can be weighed for payment later.

I would suggest browsing around before deciding on which ones to take, as some sections do contain duplicates that are already in another section.

Also do screen through them as you pick as there can be other elements that could have accidentally fallen or put into the stash that you’re picking from.

With them charging by weight instead of the small and bigger tubs that are used at the LCS stores, there will be some elements which will be relatively cheaper to be purchased here than at the Lego Certified Stores (LCS).

There are a couple of advantageous to buy parts here. For starters, it is more economical to buy the larger and bulkier elements such as the 4×4 plates or the 2×8 bricks here in Legoland Malaysia as they do leave a lot of empty space within the tubs at the LCS.

The other bonus is the variety of parts available as they do stock elements which are not found at the LCS stores.

I personally would just grab a handful at times and not bother about the cost wise as I will not be able to purchase them at the LCS and ordering on BrickLink would take me awhile before I receive my stock.
