New LEGO City Explorers Theme Coming Next Year

The latest LEGO brand catalogue has been released in Germany already and some have spotted an advertisement within the pages for the new LEGO City Explorers Theme.

There is no other further information but from the picture, we can gather that it should follow the “Explorer” theme like the Arctic Explorer in 2015 and Volcanic Explorers just this year.

The words “Entdecke ab juni eine neue welt!” loosely translates to “Discover a new world in June!” so expect to see this just before summer time.

The minifigure has a torso print that I’ve not seen before that shows a rope and carabiner with some pockets at the side which suggest that he might be a climber of some sort.

If this does turn out to be an actual “jungle” explorer sub theme, I hope that they do give us some decent flora in the sets. It has been a long time since I’ve encountered trees and plants outside of the Friends theme.
