LEGO Moana on the High Seas Official Photo

We got a glimpse of the LEGO Moana on the High Seas (41150) set in last month’s store calendar and thanks to the LEGO Kids Club magazine Nov/Dec issue, we have our first close up of the latest addition to the Disney  family.

Apart from a better look at the once-mighty demigod Maui’s Big Fig, there looks to be a couple of new elements to look forward to when the set comes out next month.

LEGO has been producing a lot of minifigure hen accessories but I do believe that this would be the first ever rooster that has come out from TLG. I’m also really liking the tribal prints on Maui’s Big Fig torsos and arms.

A second Moana themed set, Moana’s Island Adventure (41149) will be coming out next year as well.

The movie Moana starring Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho opens later this month.

   This may lead one to wonder if Moana hass some god-like abilities that may match Maui’s.
