LEGO Ideas The Office 21336 Full Details

LEGO has been slowly expanding their “building interior” sub-theme ever since the LEGO Ideas Big Bang Theory (21302) was first made into an official LEGO set.

Their latest addition to that list is the LEGO Ideas The Office 21336 set that started out as a project by Jaijai Lewis (aka LEGO the Office)

The set features a faithful recreation of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton office in Pennsylvania complete with Michael Scott’s workplace, reception area, Jim and Dwight’s desk island along with Phyllis and Stanley’s desk island.

And the LEGO Office would set the record for the most number of minifigures in a LEGO Ideas set at a whopping fifteen minifigures!

The characters include: Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Jim Halpert, Pam Beesly, Ryan Howard, Angela Martin, Oscar Martinez, Kevin Malone, Stanley Hudson, Kelly Kapoor, Phyllis Lapin Vance, Meredith Palmer, Creed Bratton, Toby Flenderson and Darryl Philbin, as well as an animal figure of Angela’s cat Garbage.

The LEGO Ideas The Office consists of 1164 pieces which is about 100 bricks less than LEGO Ideas Central Perk.

The recommended retail price for the set is USD119 / €119 / £104.99 and it will be launching on October 1st although it is already available for pre-order in some market regions.

While these types of sets do reach a specific audiences, I do feel that it does get repetitious after encountering another “building interior” set.

I do wish that the LEGO Ideas platform select more sets which focus on innovation and interesting build techniques.
