One of the more interesting reveals at the LEGO Con 2022 is the LEGO Marvel Sanctum Sanctorum (76218) set that actually spans two Marvel movies, the Infinity War and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
We actually had one Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown (76108) previously as well as the LEGO Doctor Strange Sanctum Sanctorum (76060) so this would be the third attempt by LEGO to get the Sorcerer Supreme’s headquarters.
The set is actually a corner modular building which can be split into four different levels, each depicting a scene from one of the two movies.
It will consist of 2708 pcs and will include minifigures of Doctor Strange, Wong, Iron Man, Spider-man, Scarlet Witch, Death Strange, Sinister Strange, Master Mordo (Earth 616), Ebony Maw.
It also has a couple of cool play features like the cycling of the portals to different parts of the world as well as swapping out different parts of the building with sling ring portals for Shuma-Gorath to invade.
The LEGO Marvel Sanctum Sanctorum (76218) will have a recommended retail price of 249.99EUR / 209.99 USD / 349.99 AUD / 214.99 GBP / 279.99 CAD.
It will have a street date of August 1st 2022 and will be available at all LEGO Brand and Certified Stores around the world.
While I think this is a nice addition to your modular collection, I’m also thinking that a proper Ultimate Collectors Series (UCS) Avengers Tower would have been stellar.
