LEGO Ideas Jazz Quartet 21334 Full Reveal!

We had a sneak preview of LEGO Ideas’s jazz tribute when it was accidentally left on the shelf of a Target departmental store earlier last month and now LEGO has finally ready to announce the LEGO Ideas Jazz Quartet (21334)!

I have been tracking this set ever since fan designer Hsinwei Chi submitted it as a LEGO Ideas project in January last year and I’m really happy for him that his design is now a set that I can actually own. 

The set manages to preserve the initial design albeit with a few stylistic changes like flipping the gender of the pianist.

While the design of the instruments have been retained, the posing and stature of the brick built musicians feels a little stiff compared to Hsinwei’s original submission.

I feel that the stance and posing of the original quartet to be a lot more fluid and natural but I guess LEGO had to forgo some of the aesthetics for stability.

The new LEGO Ideas Jazz Quartet (21334) will have a recommended retail price of £89.99 / € 99.99 / $ 99.99 / 169.99 AUD/ 129.99 CAD.

It will have a street date of July 1st 2022 at all LEGO Brand and Certified Stores around the world but do check with your local store for stock allocations.
