Earlier this year, we broke the news about a two toy rivals coming together for a project that bridges the fanbases of Transformers and LEGO.
And now we have got a few more updates on the upcoming release of the first ever LEGO / Hasbro collaboration to hit the toy aisle.
We did confirm that LEGO Optimus Prime will be fully transformable and will follow a similar transformation sequence like the his Hasbro counterpart.
The rear wheels will form his legs and his head is hidden in the cab itself with the arms popping out from the sides.
LEGO Optimus Prime will stand at a height of 35cm which is a little shorter than I would have expected for 1508pcs.
There will also be a brick build versions of Optimus’s Ion Blaster, Energon axe along with the Matrix of leadership, energon cubes and a red jetpack.
The only jetpack I can remember from Generation 1 was the grey ones from the Ark so they may have made it red to match his colour scheme.
There will also be an information plaque with a sticker that reflects some of Optimus Prime’s statistics like the ones we had at the back of the boxes.
It should retail for €169.99 and we should be seeing an official reveal possibly next week so watch this space!

The red jetpack was borrowed from Sideswipe (a red lambo) in the third episode of the original cartoon.
