The third entry to the LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection was revealed yesterday and it features one of the many iconic scenes in A New Hope.
The Trash Compactor it actually the most expensive of all the dioramas but it is also the one with the most number of minifigures.
There are a total of six minifigures that include Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Leia Organa, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2.
It contains 802 pcs and has a recommended retail price of 89.99€/ USD89.99 which makes me wonder who actually qualifies these prices.
Don’t get me wrong, I really do love the set and I think it is great to pack it in with minifigures but at $90, it is way overpriced.
This is at best, a salvaged vignette from the LEGO Star Wars Death Star (10188) with the same movable walls.
Maybe the LEGO Star Wars design team’s plan all along was just to chop up the vignettes from 10188 and turn them into individual sets that we can collect to make our own LEGO Death Star.
These sets will be available on May the 1st with the LEGO Trash Compactor (75339) being a LEGO Brand Store and Walmart exclusive.
