LEGO Volodymyr Zelenskyy Raises $16,000 For Ukraine Direct Relief Fund

The awesome guys over at Citizen Bricks recently held a fundraiser to raise donations for the Ukrainian refugees fleeing the country.

They created a custom minifigure of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that sold for USD$100 and an accompanying molotov cocktail for USD$10.

Needless to say, the minifigure sold out almost immediately and Citizen Bricks managed to raise a total of USD$16, 540.

Yes, it is severely overpriced but ALL proceeds go Direct Relief to aid their efforts to bring medical supplies to those affected by the war.

“As you may have noticed, the minifigs sold out almost immediately. We made as many as possible in a frantic 24 [hours], with the CB crew coming in on their day off to print. We know there were some folks who tried to get one and couldn’t. We hope they’ll consider making a direct donation to a relevant charity nonetheless.” ~ Citizen Brick Instagram

I’ve already made a donation to the relief efforts separately as I was not able to get the minifigure. Hopefully they do another run down the road as I wouldn’t mind donating again.
