First Look at the New LEGO Brand Store 40528!

There will be an update to the LEGO Brand Store gift with purchase that you usually get at new store openings come 2022.

The fine folks over at Brickset were able to get an advance copy of the LEGO Brand Store (40528) and published some initial images of the set.

Previously, LEGO would have a commemorative gift with purchase whenever there was a new store opening and it began with the LEGO Brand Retail Store (3300003 ) from 2012 to 2014 then LEGO Brand Store (40145)  from 2015 to 2021.

Unlike the previous model, this set does not come with a LEGO Brand Store minifigure and the LEGO logo on the front is a sticker plastered on a 2×2 tile instead of being printed.

This have traditionally been redeemd with a minimum spend of  SGD$180 / USD$125 / €125 / £125.

While it does feel like LEGO is cutting back the cost of these gift with purchases, let me remind you that the first LEGO Brand Retail Store (3300003) did not come with any minifigures either and it was micro-scaled.

These should start popping up at any new LEGO store openings in 2022 which means that we should see some appear in China as there are quite a few new outlets slated to open.
