LEGO Cancels Santa’s Living Room (40489)
There were rumours floating about today that the second holiday gift with purchase might not make it for this winter and LEGO has come forward with a statement.
We decided not to release this product as it didn’t meet our strict quality standards.
Because we work so hard to provide the best possible play experiences, we never compromise the quality of our products.
This is terribly unfortunate as the set does look quite nice and from the initial box packaging, I cannot see why they would cancel it because it “didn’t meet our strict quality standards“.
It is a real pity as this would be the first time we would be getting a Mrs Claus in her traditional Christmas outfit. The last time we saw her was in the LEGO Creator Santa’s Workshop (10245)
Hopefully they will be able to sort out the issues and eventually release it at a later date as I would rather wait than for them to cancel it completely.
