The image of a cash registered decked out in gold elements is just something that you don’t scroll by when it pops up on your feed.
AFOL designer Mehdi Rustamov (dimexart) interest in restored vintage items has culminated in this gorgeous recreation of the National Cash Register 452 that was in use during the turn of the 20th century.
While this is a render (a beautiful one I might add), Mehdi plans to eventually build it with actual LEGO elements. There are some pieces that do not exist in pearl gold or metallic gold but if this gets selected to be made into a set, I don’t think it would be too hard for LEGO to produce the new elements.
If you want, you can check out dimexart’s LEGO Ideas project page for more information and cast a vote to for LEGO to make their largest set with gold elements, ever.
