Bionicle Is Leading The LEGO 90th Anniversary Fan Vote!

Just a week ago, the LEGO Ideas platform launched a poll to determine the theme of LEGO’s 90th Anniversary tribute set.

There were a whole slew of themes (and sub themes) to choose from and it comes to no surprise that Bionicle is leading the pack considering the huge fan base that exists.

Stonewars.de has consolidated the 50,000 plus votes into one handy table which you can see below:

Some have pointed out that the vote seems to be geared for themes like Bionicle as it is listed as one solitary theme as opposed to themes like Classic Space or Classic Castle which is actually split into various sub-themes.

There is however another round of voting once the top three most popular themes are determined so we might see a new leader in the top spot. Fingers crossed.

   So looks like 23% for castle and 19.8% for space. It is disappointing we won’t know what would have happened if they weren’t split over 7 sub-themes each. People like me putting all 3 votes into castle or space skew those results too, so castle and space wouldn’t have received quite the number of votes I listed above if they didn’t have subthemes. It would have been a close race between the two for #1 with bionic at #3.

   would this mean that Bionicle might return at some point because ever since the last movie ended with a cliffhanger of Bionicle The Legend Reborn would there be a sequel to that coming soon?
