LEGO Colosseum Cross Cultural Marketing Posters

LEGO China recently published a series of posters in conjunction with their launch of the largest LEGO set ever produced, the LEGO Colosseum (10276).

The posters pokes a bit of fun on the size of the brick built colosseum and how it could be used in alternative ways in around the house.

住豪宅 (Zhù háozhái) – Live in a mansion

This has to be the cutest of them all as I can totally imagine a cat making a home in the centre of the LEGO Colosseum. Although I’m not too sure if it is  really that comfortable for said feline.

真放松 (Zhēn fàngsōng) – So relaxing

The Colosseum doubles up as a bonsai pot here which could allude to the upcoming LEGO Bonsai Tree (10281) that is coming in January 2021. I’m not too sure how well the Colosseum can hold water but I guess if you pack it with enough soil, it should be sufficient.

来开涮 (Lái kāishuàn) – Let’s have hotpot

I’m guess that the LEGO Colosseum’s purpose here is to be a steamboat bowl where friends come together to have a meal.

It is really quite interesting to see how each region approach the marketing of a highly publicised LEGO set like the Colosseum. Hopefully we’ll see more interesting marketing collaterals in the future.
