LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (10274) Official Announcement!

I first got wind of a possible 1:18 scale LEGO model of the iconic Ectomobile back in August and now LEGO is finally announcing their return to the LEGO Ghostbusters franchise!

The set will feature the classic 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor in all it’s ghostbuster glory. However, this is based on the Ghostbusters: Afterlife version of the apparition apprehension vehicle.

It will sport a working steering wheel along with an extendable side gunner seat that we saw in the movie trailer. According to LEGO designer, Michael Psiaki, there are quite a few easter eggs to be discovered during the build process.

I can foresee a lot of Ghostbusters fans purchasing this and modding it to look like the original Ecto-1 from the first movie or Ecto-2 from the sequel.

Consisting of 2,352 pieces, this movie car will have a recommended retail price of SGD$299.90 / £179.99 / €199.99 / $199.99 USD / $299.99 AUD / $259.99 CAD. LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (10274)

The LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (10274) will have a street date of November 15th however, it isn’t clear if this is for VIP members or to the general public. Either way, do check your local LEGO Brand or Certified Store for the exact release dates.

I see a lot of rust spots, does it come with a lot of stickers?

  2. Ricki Rou says:

Will it be available outright on November 15 or for VIPs?

  3. DoubleOdd says:

Looks like the only thing you really NEED to do to mod this into GB1 Ecto-1 is to remove the rust stickers and move the ladder over to the other side…
