It was announced by the LEGO Ideas Team earlier that the LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle (21313) and the NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) will be re-released in the coming months with brand new set numbers 92176 and 92177 respectively.
I actually caught wind of this rumour earlier in the year that LEGO would be bringing a handful of retired sets back from the vault.
Both sets were beautifully designed and are great for parts so if you were in the market for one and missed the opportunity, this is your chance. This does however put a crink in the plans for those who stocked up on the set hoping that it would rise in price after it EOLed (End of Line).
From the LEGO Ideas team:
The two sets are being re-launched due to popular demand, and as they had already left the market, we could not keep the original numbers. The agreements with the Fan Designers remain unchanged.
Also: one of the new set numbers matches a fan designer’s birthday. They were both very involved in the process.
Will they re think the Technic Porsche 42056?
Surely there’s enough demand in second hand or unused kits to bring it back
