LEGO Monkie Kid Animated Series Coming Soon!
One really cool bit of information to come out of the LEGO Monkie Kid launch is that there it is confirmed there will be an animated series that will hit the small screen later this year.
The animation is pretty slick and I’m actually liking the art style that they have implemented. You can check out the teaser trailer above and the story trailer below.
Not too much details have been revealed but it does seem that the storyline exapnds the original mythology of the “Journey to the West” and that the Monkie Kid comes into the possession of the legendary staff that belongs to Sun Wu Kong (Monkey King).
Local broadcasting station Mediacorp will also be airing the Monkie Kid TV animated content on Channel 5 and Channel 8 this year.
