Vote For The Next LEGO Star Wars UCS Set!
LEGO has tapped the crowdsourcing community in the past with their LEGO Ideas platform and now they are actually getting the fans to decide the next LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s Series set!
In a blog post on the LEGO Ideas website, they have listed three iconic starships from a galaxy far far away and they would like to find out which of them we would like to see as an actual set later in the year.
Here are the three starships that have been ‘selected’:
Nebulon B Escort Frigate
“Originally intended for the Imperial Navy, these ships were used as convoy escorts and made their first appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and appear again, in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and even in Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.”
This is one of the more iconic Star Wars ships that has never got the LEGO treatment which prompted a lot of builders to create their own. A notable one would be Mortesv’s UCS Nebulon-B Medical Frigate which instructions can be found on Rebrickable.
TIE-Bomber
“Like a big brother version of the TIE Fighters, these ships were created to destroy large starships and not for fast paced combat. With dual hulls, one for the pilot and one for the warhead launchers, this ship features in both Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.”
The TIE-Bomber was actually featured in the LEGO TIE-Bomber (4479) set back in 2003 and it was never heard from again. It would be a good move on LEGO’s part to have this released as a UCS since this is one of the more iconic ships from the original trilogy that got little attention.
Republic Gunship
“Who can forget the epic moment these ships dropped into the arena carrying the clones in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones during the Battle of Geonosis, rescuing Padmé and Jedi from Count Dooku.”
The Republic Gunship has not one but three LEGO sets based on its design. I’m not really sure how much more they can expand on the design but I feel that this one doesn’t really need a UCS set at the moment.

My vote goes to the Nebulon B Escort Frigate as that is one of the ships I’ve always wanted LEGO to release a set for. What are your choices?
