While everyone was enjoying the Christmas festivities, Blizzard celebrated the World of Warcraft 15th anniversary with an exhibit over the holiday weekend in Taiwan.
Amongst the displays was a 1.5m tall LEGO Ragnaros sculpture by Taiwan’s LEGO Certified Professional, Yenchih Huang (Rack Huang).
This towering rendition of the Firelord of Blackrock mountain consists of 100,000 LEGO bricks and utilised a palette of Dark Red, Red, Orange, Light Orange, Dark Orange and Yellow to create the look of molten lava.
The whole sculpture took 50 full working days to complete which needed to blend Dark Bluish Grey, Black and a smattering of Yellow, Red and Orange bricks to mimic the organic swirl of lava and stone.
This sculpture is part of a host of other exhibits that include other memorbilia from the popular MMORPG’s history.
The event was held at the 台北華山創意文化園區中4A (Taipei Creative Cultural Park) and the last day was on the 29th of December.
I’m sure that this sculpture will show up at future Blizzard events so keep a look out for it! In the mean time, I shall see you all in Azeroth!
