Narita Airport LEGO Certified Store Opens With 100,000pcs LEGO Wind God and Thunder God Mosaic

The LEGO Certified Store in Narita Airport Terminal 1 is officially open and to commemorate the event, LEGO Certified Professional Jumpei Mitsu was tasked to create a LEGO mosaic of the 18th century painting, Wind God and Thunder God.

The LEGO mosaic spans 3.8 meters across and stands at 1.9m in height and consists of over 100,000 LEGO elements. That is a lot of LEGO gold tiles that make up the background.

If you look closely, it is not a completely flat mosaic as there is some relief to create a slight three-dimensional effect.
