LEGO launched LEGO Forma exclusively on the Indigogo platform back in September 2018. Fast forward a year and now we are able to purchase the set on Shop@Home!
LEGO Forma (81000) is geared towards the AFOL who is more inclined to a bigger building challenge. It is one of the first “kinetic” sculptures to be officially released by company.
The set appears to only be available on the Shop@Home in the UK and it is retailing for £42.99 (SGD$76.25). There is no word on whether this will be rolled out to the other regions but it looks positive.
Here is the product description:
Designed for adults looking for a fun, engaging way to put down their screens and reconnect with their creative side, new LEGO® FORMA (81000) offers a joyful challenge that also builds a distinctive kinetic sculpture. Made with sturdy elements and covered with a flexible, customizable skin, LEGO FORMA mechanical models incorporate life-like motion, colors, and patterns to deliver a unique creative challenge and a sophisticated display piece. Available in UK only.
It seems this is just ‘getting rid of the remainder stock: I received an email from LEGO via indiegogo saying that the Forma range will not extend beyond the pilot project for the time being.
