Naturally, Adults were not allowed in the building area as it fostered an environment where the kids could be free to build without any external influences.

“You can see how real time creativity is being worked to solve very real problems” ~Lizum Mishra, Head of Government & Public Affairs APAC

Some of the captions by the children really does show a keen understanding of the world that these kids are living in.

The bigger purpose of this event is to equip the kids with the relevant skills necessary for the 21st century ~ Lucia Cioffi, Sr Vice President, Global Procurement, The LEGO Group (TLG)

What is Build the Change?
It’s an event where we inspire children to use their imagination in a fun, social and environmental context, and where we foster their creativity and promote social interaction.
It’s a tool within a framework, but with open ended solutions in a hands-on, minds-on fun experience.
It’s a theme related event e.g. “Build your future school, neighborhood or city” and by doing this we give children a voice.
It’s all about creativity, imagination, collaboration and communication.
It enables children to use LEGO® bricks as a tool to communicate and express themselves and create enduring memories.
We give children a voice.
