Review: LEGO Xtra Winter Accessories (40368)

LEGO came up with a slew of LEGO Xtra polybags last year and we’ve haven’t seen any for a couple of cycles now.

So it was a bit of a surprise to see the LEGO Xtra Winter Accessories (40368) hanging off the shelf at my local LEGO Certified Store.

Unpolybaging

Like with the previous LEGO Xtra packs, this is a standard size polybag containing 32 elements.

There is a teeny tiny instruction sheet for some of the builds within but should be easy to figure out without the steps.

Elements

LEGO Xtra Winter Accessories (40368) comes with a nice selection of elements.

There is a tree element along with a husky animal figure, a 2×3 white leaf, a 4×4 snowflake crystal.

Also packaged in this polybag are a couple of pearl gold ornate fences and some of the new 1×1 flower studs in both red and pearl gold.

Minifigure accessories include a pair of bright yellow snow shoes and a light blue hat and a sack.

Value

The local recommended retail price for the polybag is SGD$7.90 (USD$5.72) which brings each element to approximately 24¢ per piece. It drops to 22¢ when you apply the 10% membership discount.

While it might be more worth it to order some of these elements, like the leaves and tree element in bulk, having an assortment of them in one polybag is good for the casual buyer.

A couple of these polybags would be a nice addition to anyone’s Winter Holiday diorama.

Conclusion

I’m really glad that they are continuing the LEGO Xtra polybag theme with the Winter Accessories. Hopefully they might do summer, spring and autumn down the road.
