Leica M Camera LEGO Sets Now Available for Pre-Order!

Update:  I had a chance to speak to AFOL designer Chris McVeigh and clarified that that there is no collaboration between him and Leica Camera AG. The kits that are on pre-order by this Leica Camera Store in Miami are essentially the same ones you could buy off Chris’s web-store. You can download Chris’s instructions and parts list for free here.

The LEGO design is very clean and translates all the characteristic features of the original into brick form which is a trademark style of AFOL designer Chris “Powerpig” McVeigh. TBPhotography-5586_dbff4715-21d4-4b0a-bcf9-7381abc1aa18 TBPhotography-5587_9d7a81c0-7d3b-41a3-949e-4e8b90a53381_1024x1024 TBPhotography-5588_1024x1024

There are two designs, one Black/Grey and another Brown/Grey, both of which are available for pre-order on the Leica Miami store website.

The instructions are also available on Chris McVeigh‘s own website and it does allow one to build these lovely designs on your own if you have the bricks already.

Either way, it is great that big corporate companies like Leica are taking notice of the works of AFOL designers around the world.
