The LEGO Diagon Alley (40289) set caught a lot of us by surprise and now we have an actual real world look at the upcoming set.
As you can see, the building line up has Gringotts Wizard Bank (White), Ollivanders (Grey), Weasley’s Magic Woes (Purple and orange), Flourish & Blotts (Green), and Quality Quiddich Supplies (Red).
As this is a facade build, there is not really much to look at the back of the model but it does reveal how the connections were made. It does seem to me that LEGO is pushing the micro-scale sets which I’m not complaining as I do miss the mini-modular line.
The set does come with an Ollivander’s minifigure which is the only way you can get your hands on it. He sports the same hairpiece as Headless Nick from the LEGO Harry Potter Great Hall (75954) set.
Still determining the price for this set as reports have been placing the recommended retail price at 40-50€ which I find a little on the high side.
This is still a wonderful set to have especially if you have space constrains like me. I really do hope that they release more sets like these as the really look great on the bookshelf.
