All LEGO plant elements you see below are made with ethanol that is distilled from sugarcane instead of petroleum which is a step in the right direction to be less reliant on fossil fuels.

The pack comes with 29pcs of plant elements ranging from leaves, shrubs and bushes. I did a break down of the parts here:

  • Plant Brick, Round 1 x 1 with 3 Bamboo Leaves (x16)
  • Plant Leaves 4 x 3 (x4)
  • Prickly Bush 2 x 2 x 4 (x3)
  • Tree Pine Small 2 x 2 x 4 (x2)
  • Tree Palm Leaf Large 10 x 5 (x4)

There is also an insert which explains the goals that LEGO is taking with this initiative.

I think that this is a really great initiative that the LEGO Group is taking especially if we are to make a better future for generations to come.

LEGO Plants from Plants (40320) will be available as a gift with purchase when you spend a minimum of USD$35 on any LEGO products from August 1st to 14th.

There is still no word if this will be coming to Singapore or any parts of Asia although it is highly likely. Watch this space for further updates!

(Special thanks to the LEGO Plants from Plants team for providing me with a set!)
