May the 4th has passed and everyone has snapped up their LEGO Star Wars UCS Y-Wing Starfighter (75181) which means it is time to look at the next LEGO Star Wars UCS set that will be released later this year.
Eurobricks user Paperballpark is reporting that we will be getting a playset style Cloud City (75222) along the lines of the Death Star (75159).
In fact, he describes it as slicing off the bottom half of the Death Star playset and adding a couple of platforms with the iconic Slave-1 and Twin Pod cloud car and its pretty close to what we will get in the set. One thing is for certain is that it won’t be another Assault on Hoth “superpack” like last year.
The description actually reminds me of Vakkron’s LEGO Cloud City ideas project which featured micro scale Bespin with minifigure scaled vignettes which depict classic scenes inside.
Can’t wait to see the minifigure line up for this as the previous Cloud City set (10123) still has an eBay retail for about USD1,000.
Hopefully we’ll get a Lando with a dual coloured cape again *wink*.
(Thanks to The Brick Fan for the heads up)
