I reported about a few sets from the LEGO Marvel Infinity War wave that has been found in the wild a couple of days ago and now thanks to Naomasali, we have the first real world look at the LEGO Marvel Superheroes Avengers: Infinity War Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown (76108)!
The set consists of 1004 pcs and retails for USD$99.90 / SGD$199.90 which is a little on the pricier side if you ask me.
The Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown comes with five minifigures: Doctor Strange; Iron Man, Iron Spiderman, Cull Obsidian (Megafig) and Ebony Maw and there looks to be some new minifigure accessories like the Doctor Strange’s shield and Iron Man’s blaster effect.
The building itself is essentially a facade build but it closes together to form one full structure which is pretty neat. Reminds me of those Creator 3-in-1 buildings.
One half of the interiors feature a compressed version of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum and the other is a pizza parlour with what looks to be Peter Parker’s apartment just above it.
I think this is a nice set as a starting point for anyone wanting to build their own Sanctum Sanctorum MOC, especially with the LEGO Marvel Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum (76060) set which was released in 2016.
There is a teeny easter egg in the set which comes in the form of the red newspaper box with an obvious nod to another Marvel superhero.
Perhaps we might finally get to see an upcoming solo set featuring the man without fear?
