Creating the LEGO R2-D2 ™ Platinum Minifigure
LEGO launched a contest in November where participants will be able to win one of two ultra exclusive LEGO R2-D2 ™ Platinum Minifigures!
Earlier today, LEGO’s Twitter posted a cool behind-the-scenes look at how our favourite astromech droid (sorry BB-8!) was cast in platinum form.
EXCLUSIVE PLATINUM R2-D2™ MINIFIGURE
The little metal minifigure is valued to be €2,800 which is approximately SGD$4,462. This is just an estimate as we all have seen what happened to the solid gold Boba Fett minifigures that were released some time ago.
The contest is still running on till January 1st 2018 so if you haven’t signed up for it, do so now! There is a list of participating countries to select in the form which does not include any from Asia for some reason but that shouldn’t really stop you for signing up.
