LEGO Nutcracker (4002017) Employee Gift 2017 First Look!

LEGO Employee Nutcracker (4002017)

It is that time of year again and the LEGO Group has already sent out their annual employee gifts for 2017!

Thanks to some of these lucky AFOLs who are on LEGO’s payroll, we are able to share these images of the LEGO Employee Nutcracker (4002017) gift.

The box is in the shape of a traditional guard house (the Nutcracker is a toy soldier after all) and the other box slips out to reveal the contents inside.

There is a lovely instruction booklet that also explains why the Nutcracker was chosen as this year’s theme.

This is actually also a LEGO Technic set as you can see the exclusive 40 Years of LEGO Technic brick is included in this build. Along with this build is a exclusive 2×4 printed tile for the year 2017 as well.

Just like it’s smaller counter part, LEGO Nutcracker (40254), the larger employee version is also able to activate its “nutcracker” action with a lever at the back.

This is a lovely gift for the Christmas period and I like the fact that there was a smaller version the public could actually get their hands on.

And if you really want to get your hands on these, you could always try eBay where these are already being sold between USD$150 – $250.

Personally, my favourite is still last year’s employee gift which was LEGO 50 Years on Track (4002016).
